Using the Transparent Oracle

I have been dipping my toe in trying out the Transparent Oracle and I got a delightful reading for the U.S. for the remainder of 2024. The cards in this oracle have a direction associated with them. North, South, East, West, Above, Below and Within.

Note: my not-so-perfect aligning is showing from the scanning. When laid out on my hobbyist light box right-side up they really light up beautifully, especially when layered together.


So at least one meaning to this is that the Second Religiosity is well underway. Saturn is also associated with traditions that have withstood the test of time. It also is indicating that the Divine is involved and I'm guessing more than a few people's prayers might be answered.


The other heartening surprise is that innovation and creativity is indicated right beside tradition. My guess is that now that the U.S. economy is in long-term decline people are having to become creative and innovative in finding ways to make money or live well with as little money as possible. They might also be finding ways to inject fun and creativity into their lives that don't need money to do them.

I was very glad to get this reading since it indicates the Divine is aware and listening to prayers and may even consent to granting some requests, especially requests that might increase human well-being. Which the world sorely needs right now, in my opinion.

This reading is showing spiritual practices are well-indicated.

My energy/motivation levels have always been variable and it can take a while to figure out what causes my energy/motivation to drop (something I ate, lack of exercise, too much exercise, etc.) Recently my energy level and mood have dropped quite a bit, not sure why. I had started a magic practice and now I feel unable to get back into it, although I am sure I will figure it out eventually and start again. Any suggestions on what would speed me on my way?

Thank you for agreeing to be my guinea pig! Just giving a quick update that I am busy taking photos and writing up an analysis. I've given myself the deadline of next Magic Monday so everything needs to be finalized and presentable by then. Hopefully, I'm finished before that but next Magic Monday is when I advertise for more guinea pigs - I mean, volunteers. Have a wonderful week. :)

Wow! That was a much more detailed reading than I expected. Thank you. I will have to spend some time thinking about it.

Can you describe what a Blessing Walk is, or tell me where to find it in JMG's writings? I am not sure what it is, but it sounds like it is right up my alley.

Actually, after I emailed you I searched on dreamwidth for the instructions for the Blessing Walk and found them - all five pages of them. Since a blessing, itself, takes only a moment of sincere expressed desire, I had imagined something less complex. In fact, if I had the energy to take up a new practice that would take days or weeks even to get it right, I would have already returned to the spiritual/magical practices that I don't have the energy to do right now. Presently, a few short periods of breathing exercises a day are about all that I can manage.

I have no doubt that the Blessing Walk is an excellent practice for many, if not most, people. I have no intention of criticizing it in any way. So, I feel that I must modify the permission that I gave you. You certainly have my permission to share the first part of the reading you gave me, but I don't extend that permission to anything having to do with your recommendation of the Blessing Walk for me. Since I am not criticizing your recommendation or the Blessing Walk itself, I don't want to appear to other people on the Magic Monday posts to be criticizing it. I enjoy reading those posts very much and am very much aware that any appearance of trouble-making on my part could get me banned by JMG.

One other suggestion for your well-being

If possible you could sign up for Inner Engineering and Shambhavi Mahamudra initiation which is what I did. I can definitely vouch it works. It's done online so can be done at home with an internet connection and webcam or using a cellphone's built-in cam.
